SKG is an independant institut for testing and certification in the building construction area. SKG is according EN standards 45011 and ISO 17021 and 17025 accredited by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA). SKG is located in Wageningen in the Netherlands. SKG has approximately 25 employees. Activities of SKG are aimed at testing and certification of products and managementsystems for industry: - Metal facade elements - PVC doors, shutters and windows - Building hardware / door and window furniture - Glazing - Ventilation devices - Bonding - Rubber and profiles for weathertightness - Solar SKG issues KOMO quality declarations on the basis of national product guidelines (BRL’s) and gives support to organisations of industry involved in striving for recognition and identification of quality of building products. In relation to aspects that concern burglar and/or fire resistance, SKG gives special notice on the basis of testresults, forwarded in test reports and in KOMO Attestations. Doors and windows when accepted in a class according NEN 5096 (ENV 1627), are to be marked with the quality mark with reference to the class for burglary resistance. SKG is notified as Notified Body under Number 0960 by the European Community. SKG is also notified approval body. As a member of EOTA SKG is involved in the implementation of the Construction Product Directive (CPD), on the basis of which industry is enabled to put the CE-marking on their products.
