Characteristics of scissors Some scissors salesmen will tell you “our scissors are hand-made“. We are proud to be able to say that our scissors are not hand-made. From the very earliest stage, they are given their perfect and precise shape by computer-controlled machines. This is the reason that the first pair of scissors is exactly the same as the 999th pair. Every pair of scissors is then hand-finished to give it its unique balance and top-level finishing by dedicated craftsmen.

Sakura The Sakura blades are manufactured from Hitachi steel 440C, ATS-314, VG10, SG2 or Kiseki steel, containing cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, chromium, tungsten and manganese. They are vacuum-tempered and annealed twice before being sub-zero treated at -80° C. Sakura scissors are famous for their elegant and ergonomic shape, carefully crafted from the best materials, with the perfect angle, the ideal balance of weight, long durability and great user satisfaction.
