Scola et Vita guides young adults - mainly Turkish-Dutch bi-lingual and bi-cultural - (between 18-30 years old) who somehow didn't manage to finish a certain education or didn't manage to obtain a fulfilling profession. The 'Back2Scola project'​ is a project of the non-profit organization Scola et Vita that focuses on the training of school drop-outs, thus closing a gap in the socio-political education system of the Netherlands. Ayfer Çölkușu is a Master of Education in the English Language and Literature and is actively involved in educating/guiding for more than 10 years. Her expertise in education and her social ability to connect immediately and naturally with young people (who are considered ‘hard to connect with’ and are most of the time ‘invisible’ to many authorities for they are usually not registered at an Institution or a public service foundation) and thus are ignored whereas many of these youngsters are already involved with (usually small but thus not to be ignored) petty crimes and are in fact a ‘sleeping bomb’ for the society and must be guided before many youngsters will follow this new trend of materialism referred to as ‘easy money’. Our goal is to connect employers to these young adults in their wonderful task to re-enter Society with great qualifications from which we can all benefit.
