Over Scholica

Scholica came to exist out of the frustration of secondary school students Dante van der Heijden and Thomas Schoffelen, when they started noticing how complex the e-learning systems their school used worked, compared to apps like Facebook and Instagram, which they used daily. Out of that frustration a company was born with as a sole mission to make sure students and educators would not be slowed down by technology.

Scholica’s main product is a tool that makes building online courses easier than ever, allowing teachers to create lessons by combining their own materials with online videos, images, articles and other interactive content. A key feature there is Scholica Search, a tool that allows educators to quickly search for content for their course.

For schools and large businesses, we offer Scholica Cloud, a scalable online learning platform (PaaS) that can be fully customized. Developers can build custom applications for the platform with ease, and the platform’s support for industry standards allows organisations to integrate Scholica into their existing workflows.
