Over Save Our Soils Fund

The Save Our Soils Fund (SOS Fund) was launched on February 12th 2015 during the Nature & More Dinner Party at Biofach in Nuremberg. With the support of some pioneering companies and organizations an initial € 140,000 were raised. The objective of the SOS Fund is to support farmers worldwide to save and develop their soils in a healthy, sustainable way. In particular the SOS Fund will 1. Organize workshops and provide practical training materials for farmers worldwide 2. Monitor and document existing sustainable soil management practices, review them and share them as best practice guidelines 3. Carry out practical research projects on selected topics related to soils 4. Assess and communicate the socio economic and true cost benefits of sustainably managed soils 5. Liaise with like-minded organizations to promote the importance of soils to a wider audience The SOS Fund is part of the Save our Soils campaign which was founded by a series of pioneering and opinion leading companies and organizations in 2014. Over 200 partners have joined the Save our Soils campaign to promote and raise the awareness of soils at all levels of society.
