Saul van Stapele is a freelance writer, author, editor and conference director based in The Netherlands. He has published a novel and two non-fiction books on hip-hop and street culture, worked as full-time magazine editor, radio host and host and editor for a series of talkshows, and is a renown Dutch music journalist, interviewer and profile writer.

Saul van Stapele has extensive experience as international conference organizer. He is director at Beats NL, the organization behind the annual international hip-hop, bass & beats conference ADE Beats, and was creative director for successful editions of Amsterdam Dance Event’s Global Sessions in Oranjestad, Aruba and Mumbai, India. He worked as moderator for ADE, Red Bull Music Academy, IFFR, Eurosonic, Rio Music Conference and other international conferences.

In 2013 Van Stapele was awarded the 19th edition of the Pop Media Prijs, the annual prize for excellent pop music journalism in The Netherlands.
