Safe & Sound Consultancy B.V. Mission The pillars that Safe & Sound Consultancy rests upon are: 1. Giving safety advice to private companies and various public bodies (also in a Public Private Partnership) in the area of general (external and procedural) safety, Seveso Guidelines Safety, safety culture in organizations, distribution and storage of hazardous materials and the composition of those materials; Or accepting: 2. interim-management within the areas listed under 1. and 3. participating in the management of or managing other private companies, financing and negotiating securities for those companies or third parties and 4. all other safety related matters. Vision Safe & Sound Consultancy stands for providing honest and independent advice on safety related matters, in accordance with modern standards of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

What I believe I believe in people and knowledge combined with the conviction that quality and honesty will prevail in the end! Who am I? I’m a driven and reliable motivator with a long managerial and operational experience in the aviation fuel industry and one of the founders of the Amsterdam Mutual Aid System (AMAS), an association of storage facilities and oil companies in the Western Port area of Amsterdam to be able to effectively cope with large scale fires related to their business activities (www.amas-fire.nl). In addition, I am a Board member of the Advisory Board of the Expert Centre of Transport Safety. If you value safety, quality and accuracy I’m the consultant you’re looking for: an enthusiastic person who knows what he wants and is blessed with great perseverance and a passion for safety. The enthusiasm is a result of the practical and technical knowledge I gained during my 24 years of experience in the fields of transportation (pipelines) and storage (tankage) of aviation fuel at Schiphol airport in the Netherlands, one of the four major airports in Europe. This experience was based on the Guidelines of the Joint Inspection Group JIG (www.jigonline.com). During this long lasting interesting employment, I have developed and realized, besides safety matters, also innovative corporate social responsibility projects that contributes to a better world. Currently I am engaged in a) the roll-out of the HazMat Tool based on online eNose Technology (www.comon-invent.com) and b) with an e-learning specialist I did develop an e-learning Jet Fuel Operator Training (JFOT) based on the training requirements of JIG for the aviation fuel industry.

What can you expect? A strong stance on the issues based on the know-how that results from extensive practical experience.

Working area I can cover the entire country from my base in the village of Wilnis in the middle of the ‘green heart’ of the Netherlands. A foreign assignment is also possible, given the international dimension of the aviation fuel industry.
