Rosa Plaza is a Dutch family business that has grown roses and alstroemeria in Ethiopia for over 20 years, with an uncompromising commitment to quality, a genuine respect for the people who grow them, and an honest approach to sustainable farming. African flowers with Dutch standards. We produce in Ethiopia, but with Dutch norms, Dutch values, and the Dutch way of working. Across our two farms, near Ziway and at higher altitude near Debre Zeit, we work every day to grow the best quality roses and alstroemeria. With 99% delivery reliability, well above the industry average, and over 1,500 people employed on our farms, three generations of one family have built this story together. We believe a sustainable future for the flower sector starts with caring for nature and the people who work within it. That means Integrated Pest Management, our own composting programme, and wastewater recirculation. We are open about what we do well and what we are still working on, because the sector is still developing, and that deserves honesty rather than overclaiming. From field to vase: our flowers are grown, harvested, and processed in Ethiopia, then shipped to the Netherlands, where they reach florists and wholesalers across Europe and beyond
