Over RNW Media

We are an international media development organisation with its HQ in the Netherlands, dedicated to harness the power of digital media for open, safe and democratic societies. We specifically accelerate local public interest digital media to inform, inspire and engage audiences, shift narratives, and drive policy change.​ We work in more than 40 countries specifically across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, West and East Africa.

With over 75 years of experience, RNW Media has evolved from an international radio broadcaster into a champion of public interest digital media. Our work with our partners has demonstrated how a diverse, resilient, and trustworthy digital media ecosystem can reinforce the essential role of media in open and democratic societies. This is supported through RNTC, the internationally renowned training centre of RNW Media that provides media training to journalists, media makers and communication professionals. But also through our work with The Vine, RNW Media’s global community. With more than 25 public interest digital media, 80 media trainers, and 10,000 RNTC alumni, we exchange new ideas, do research for insights and engage in joint advocacy for media viability and information integrity.
