In February 1996, REVON b.v. Technical consultancy was founded by Rens van Helvoirt. Robbert van Helvoirt joined the company in 2014 adding in-house FEA service options.

REVON b.v. Technical Consultancy is a services provider specialised in OCTG. We provide services to both the world’s leading Oil & Gas Companies and the OCTG manufacturers and suppliers since 1996. Our services cover the complete ‘cradle to grave’ service of OCTG starting at the design through; specifications, tender, audits, qualification, QA/QC, installation and service to, when necessary, failure analysis. Premium connections are our speciality where we offer unique technical expertise in design and qualification testing services to both end-users as well as manufacturers/designers including theoretical (Finite Element Analysis) and experimental (testing) support.

We provide independent technical consultancy on OCTG related matters ranging from design, material selection, selection and qualification of connections to technical tender evaluations, mill audits, technical advice on manufacturing issues including QA/QC plus installation advice and support. We performed a large number of studies and technical reviews of OCTG related technical issues including premium connection designs We have been managing, supervising, witnessing and reporting a large number of premium connection qualification tests and many mill audits around the world for various customers.

We also give advice on technical issues including detailed QA/QC requirements for OCTG and connection manufacturing to various operators. We are consulting various customers both manufacturers and operators on all quality related aspects of steel making and manufacturing of steel pipes for the oil industry in mills world-wide I have been involved as technical specialist witness in OCTG related litigations. Furthermore, we gave advice and active support to development of new premium connections.
