Raravina is a sommelier-led wine shop based in Amsterdam, created for people who want to enjoy wine with confidence, curiosity and pleasure without pretence.

Founded by Lauren Thompson-Hawes together with her husband, Spencer Hawes, Raravina grew from informal wine nights at home, where friends, colleagues and neighbours gathered around the table to share bottles, stories and conversation. Those evenings shaped the brand’s core belief that wine is at its best when it brings people together, and that learning about it should feel welcoming, not intimidating.

At Raravina, we curate a wine culture that invites you to discover, enjoy and share exceptional bottles. Every wine earns its place through character, craft and the expertise of our sommelier team. Rather than overwhelming choice, we focus on thoughtful curation, helping people drink well and choose with confidence.

The collection spans beautifully made wines for everyday moments and special occasions alike, each selected for balance, personality and drinkability. Alongside the shop, Raravina places strong emphasis on accessible education. Through journal articles, guides, city tips and tasting resources, we demystify wine in a modern, practical way that fits into real life.

Raravina also hosts relaxed tastings and events in collaboration with sommeliers and local creatives. Designed to be social, inclusive and enjoyable, these gatherings bring wine-lovers and the wine-curious together, whether for public tastings, private events or brand collaborations.
