Over RaM - Robotics and Mechatronics Research Group

The Robotics and Mechatronics Research Group (RaM) at the Robotics Centre of the University of Twente is at the forefront of fundamental and application-driven research in advanced robotics and mechatronics. Our pioneering work lies in the modelling and control of energy-aware robotics and other complex physical systems. We focus on a number of socially and economically relevant application fields, particularly in medical robotics, infrastructure inspection and maintenance, social and service robotics, and agro-food robotics. By integrating RaM’s core scientific expertise with application-specific knowledge, we believe that key challenges in these fields can be successfully addressed only through a holistic, system-level approach.
