A completely restored UNESCO listed property with an authentic exterior and a renovated interior to suit its function as a boutique hostel. Previously known as Poppy Kamers Curacao. This home was constructed in 1904 in typical late Dutch colonial style. It boasts high wooden ceilings, doors and windows and is authentically colored with the original tiled floors and 5 individual roofs. This non-smoking house is fully furnished with all amenities necessary to comfortably cater to a maximum of 7 people in 5 private rooms. The, up to 60 cm (24”), thick walls in combination with 5 speed ceiling fans in each room keep the interior cool and breezy. This ensures a comfortable stay and sleep without air-conditioning. Its central location is on a safe and close-knit street. The interior is completely secured at all entry points. Popular places on the island are easily reached on foot or by car, taxi or public transportation. A 10 minute walk will take you to the Willemstad harbor entrance or a relaxing beach The hostel is situated less than half a Km from shops, bars, restaurants, banks, hospital (SEHos), supermarkets, bus stations, churches and government agencies.
