Over PLT research group

👥We are a group of engaged researchers with various disciplinary backgrounds, belonging to the department Professional Learning & Technology of the University of Twente (Faculty Behavioural, Management, and Social Sciences).

🧐We aim to understand and develop methods and tools to support professional learning of (future) employees. More broadly, we study professional learning in relation to the collaboration and innovation processes of professionals, particularly so in multidisciplinary settings and new forms of organizing (such as learning communities or living labs). Increasingly, the settings we study revolve around grand challenges and wicked problems, such as the transitions to green energy and circularity or matters of digital transformation.

🛠️ To contribute to these challenges, we also design and evaluate (technology-based) interventions to optimize professional learning, innovation, and collaboration.

📏 Our research ranges from advanced statistical analyses and measurements with bodily sensors to highly embedded, ethnographic, and interpretative approaches.

💪 In all of our projects, we combine rigour with relevance. We collaborate with partners from practice to co-design and co-create our studies and tools and we disseminate our findings for various audiences.
