Over paesaggisensibili

paesaggisensibili is an independent observatory on contemporary landscapes, a space for research and experimentation of new approaches for the understanding of the dynamics of our time through the engagement of the territories.

Our work began in 2016 with the creation, together with other photographers, of the collective Urban Reports. In that context, we have been authors and promoters of projects that have allowed us to develop a reflection on the transformations of the contemporary landscape through the use of photography as a narrative and cultural tool. With paesaggisensibili, we give a new horizon to that experience, underlining the need to go back to looking at the landscape with a new awareness as described by the geographer Eugenio Turri, placing at the center of the research what we define the sensitive landscapes, landscapes in the making which cope with a process of await and change. Among the most significant projects: Arcipelago, a photographic project created for the Italian Pavilion at the XVI Architecture Biennale in Venice with the curatorship of Arch. Mario Cucinella followed by a dedicated publication entitled L’Altra Italia, the inland areas of the country in images (2018); Across the Alps, a narrative of the transformations of the Alpine landscape (2020); Habit.a, a survey on the topic of sustainability in the territories of the Southern regions of the Alps (2020); Viva l’Architettura, a cross-section of the metropolitan landscape of Milan starting from four masterpieces of the twentieth century (2020); SeiMilano, the documentation of a construction site on the outskirts of Milan and its Humans, the humanity that is hidden behind the construction process (2019-XXXX). Luigi - Alpine Space, a photographic research involving the territory in the identification, mapping and enhancement of Ecosystem Services in the area of the 5 lakes of Ivrea, Metropolitan City of Turin (2020-2022).
