Originally centered in the picturesque town of Woerden, the festival has now grown to include performances in Leerdam, Eindhoven, and Amsterdam, achieving a national scope and coverage. Known for its accessibility, diversity, and inspiring performances, the festival is a significant event not to be missed this fall!

**Our Mission:** Opera Viva Festival aims to make opera accessible to a broader audience by bringing together amateurs and professionals from local, regional, and international backgrounds.

**Our Program Pillars:** 1. **(O)PRO:** Professional performances, concerts, lectures, and workshops. 2. **(O)MUSA:** Music theatre productions with social value, designed for special target groups or occasions. 3. **(O)AMA:** The festival's roots, featuring opera performances and concerts by amateurs.

**History:** Founded on the concept of Opera Viva AMA, the festival began as a small project with a group of singers and a pianist. Under the guidance of mezzo-soprano and theatre maker Carla Regina, it evolved into a full-fledged opera company. Since 2018, the festival has been a significant cultural event in Woerden, developed further by Carla Regina and Arie Oosterlee, inspired by renowned festivals like Glyndebourne and Aix en Provence.

**6th Edition Highlights:** - **Dates:** September 14, October 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 31, and November 2, 22, 2024. - **Locations:** Woerden, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Leerdam. - **Featured Soloists:** Eleonora Hu, winner of the TV program ARIA (2021), and Eric Reddet, known for André Rieu's The Platin Tenors.
