Over NVR - Netherlands Space Society

The Netherlands Space Society (NVR) is the platform for space professionals in the Netherlands. We have a rich 70-year history and have seen the Dutch aerospace industry grow into today's world-class sector.

We have an active network of over 1000 members and the number of members continues to grow. Our members are either professionally involved in space travel, students in space-related study programs or other interested parties and fans of Dutch space travel. The space sector is one that is characterized by the passion of all the people who work there and who are inspired by space travel.

The NVR offers its members a platform for information, communication and activities. We organize events for our members, such as lecture evenings, film nights and networking drinks. We do this as an independent association, but also in combination with other organisations.

In addition to our newsletters and social media initiatives, members also receive the glossy magazine “Ruimtevaart”. Space travel has been around almost as long as the NVR itself, providing background information on current and future space projects and developments in space research and space technology. As much attention as possible is given to the Dutch contribution, and the articles are written by our editors and a team of enthusiastic volunteers. Ruimtevaart is a magazine about and for the space sector and is written for anyone with an interest - with or without technical training.
