NUTRIM is a leading research institute, pioneering innovations in nutrition, metabolism and movement to improve health across the lifespan. The focus is on understanding, preventing, and treating metabolic diseases by translating cutting-edge science into real-world solutions.

NUTRIM is an internationally recognized centre of excellence in fundamental, clinical, and applied research, focusing on obesity, diabetes, COPD, cancer cachexia, gastrointestinal conditions, and movement-related conditions. Our research addresses metabolic and inflammatory health challenges driven by lifestyle, ageing, and disease, with a strong emphasis on nutrition, lifestyle, and personalized approaches to prevention and treatment. NUTRIM combines (clinical) research, advanced technologies, and data-driven approaches to accelerate discovery and turn research insights into impact. By unravelling how lifestyle and disease disrupt metabolism, we develop targeted nutritional, exercise, and drug interventions that advance prevention, treatment, personalized medicine, and long-term health, supported by state-of-the-art research infrastructure.
