Red mud is a by-product of the production of aluminium merely not used in but disposed. It contains iron oxide responsible for the typical red colour, silicon, lye, residual aluminium and more than 35 other elements amongst them the poisonous cadmium and arsenic. The process of production of one ton of aluminium leads to 1.3 tons of bauxite trailing which are stored in basins or dumped in to lakes or the sea. We own unique technology of application of alkaline cement and concrete for the utilization of bauxite tailings – the red mud – for the production of a wide range of products useful for building and road construction but not limited to them. Our technology allows to render this waste harmless and to turn it into valuable products starting with simple products like concrete bricks and blocks. The technology is extendable to other areas like road building, marine construction, building of artificial islands, etc. We have the vision to use the tailing not only for the above goals but to turn it into a high-value natural resource with a low ecological footprint.
