Over My Happy Footprint

When I ask myself and the people around me “What makes you happy?” there is absolutely no one who answers “Buying stuff.” We get happy spending time with the people we love, being surrounded by nature, eating food that actually tastes like food and not like rubber or plastic.

And yet, we are focused on stuff. On the newest phone, cause that is what makes us cool. On a bigger house, where half of the spaces are filled with stuff that we “might need some day”. On traveling 5 times per year to a tropical island that has been flushed with the 8 million tons of plastic that we dump into the oceans each year. Because that is what makes us successful. And it’s something to proudly show on our Instagram account. Right?

It's time to make a change! I will share my journey to a smaller, but more important happier footprint. Because I believe that leads to a happier life. I am going to shop differently, try waste-free alternatives, share recipes, tips and trics. Will my footprint reduce inmediately to 1.0? No. Will I fail every now and then? Yes. But if I do nothing, the only certainty I have is that things will go wrong completely.
