"Bon bini na Mondi" translates to "Welcome to Mondi" in Papiamentu, the native language of Chef and co-founder Justin Niessen. Together with Mariska Nunes, Managing Director at Corendon Hotels & Resorts this duo has brought the Caribbean flavor, to the heart of the city.

The restaurant entrepreneurs understand that the Mondi experience is not only inspired by communities in the Caribbean, but also by the people who inhabit them. Those who have paved the way through generations to create and cook what we call "the taste of the sun". From fresh raw seafood and the best quality meats, to funky cocktails with a DJ in the background; the Chefs and staff transport you to a warm and sunny setting, without ever leaving Amsterdam.
