It is this low level knowledge of our hardware and software stacks that enable us to build solutions for clients that are rock solid and lightning fast.

A client came to us with an ageing system they had originally built many years ago to host bespoke websites for golf clubs. The system had dozens of bespoke features and stored many gigabytes of membership data for hundreds of golf clubs. The platform was very successful but had grown to the point where it was really pushing their single server configuration to its limits. Every time the system crashed it would take upwards of 20 minutes to get it back online due to the amount of processing required before it could start serving requests.

We built a cluster of smaller load balanced servers which could effectively handle peaks of 100Mb/s traffic. 3 “hot-spare” servers were deployed which could be dynamically added to the pool if any live servers crashed or needed to be rebooted for maintenance. Since implementing our solution the system up-time and overall performance have dramatically improved, golf clubs and their members are happy, and our client is much more confident in their ability to deliver reliable service.
