The exponential growth of data offers a new paradox for business seeking growth opportunities: the amount of value that can be generated from data is increasing rapidly, but so is the complexity in finding the needle in the haystack of data. Research by MIT (The Talent Dividend) shows that turning data into value in large part depends on having the right analytical talent.

The Analyst Accelerator Program is aimed at accelerating the development of experienced analytical practitioners to build this talent pool using existing data analytics practitioners. The program, typically organized in-house, combines learning with a strong focus on real life application cases. This approach ensures not only knowledge development, but also creates real business impact within the company.

In the program, the four components of a Data Scientist skillset are trained: 1. Data and technology skills needed to use data manipulation and analysis tools, as well as ways to transform data and handle especially large sets in the appropriate technology stacks. 2. Analytical methods and techniques needed to translate the data to analysis output, model outcomes and algorithms, as well as being able to identify analysis errors / pitfalls. 3. Business expertise and delivery needed to translate analysis output to a value generating advice for the business through an overview of data applications in business and case work. 4. Data driven problem solving and advisory skills needed to convey the advice to business in a convincing way, as well as various other techniques to increase the impact and efficiency of one’s work.

The program is typically organized in a four-week boot camp teaching the data analytics fundamentals, followed-up by a varying amount of weeks with special topics that dive deeper on themes relevant for the participants (e.g. Supply Chain Optimization, Advanced Forecasting, Online Analytics, etc.), in combination with further development of the ‘softer’ impact skills.
