MetaPod unpacks the web's most interesting podcasts and the stories behind them.

Each podcast has a backstory of its own, whether it's a passionate presenter, a unique story, or a message that is more powerful when amplified. MetaPod gets into those stories to discover what inspires people who create podcasts and other audio stories.

Each episode of MetaPod features a conversation with a podcast creator that uncovers the podcast's origin story, remarkable moments along the way, and more about the creators themselves.

MetaPod was created by Wendy Morrill and Kevin May in 2020 out of a shared interest in listening to and discussing podcasts and music. The first episode of MetaPod debuted in January 2021 featuring Chris Warburton of BBC Radio 5 Live discussing the Ecstasy: The Battle Of Rave podcast. MetaPod has since featured many other podcasters from public broadcasting, as well as independent podcasters.

Kevin co-hosted MetaPod until episode 48 in May 2022. Wendy continued to host and produce the show on her own until the end of 2022.
