Over Medecs BV

The history of Gaston dates back to 1996. It started as a collaboration project between the Technical University Eindhoven and University Maastricht. At the end of 2001 with the support of Technical University Eindhoven the company Medecs was established which focuses on the development and operation of Gaston. GASTON, Guideline Development Module (GDM), is a framework that facilitates the development of clinical guideline application tasks. It covers all stages in the guideline development process, ranging from the definition of models that represent guidelines to the implementation of run-time systems that provide decision support, based on the guidelines that were developed during the earlier stages.
