Over Mazzeltov

Mazzeltov is one of the best klezmerbands from the Netherlands, according to experts. The band constists of six talented musicians (two women and four men) who sing to the accompaniment of accordion, clarinet, violin, guitar and double bass. Mazzeltov's klezmer style is one-of-a-kind Cheerfull klezmer melancholic gypsy melodies Swinging dance music intimate songs Mazzeltov plays energetic klezmer and delicate Yiddish songs, blending their style with swing, jazz, gypsy, latin, tango, balkan and an occasional sidestep into oriental music. The band was formed in 1994 and has made five cdís to date with their album "Mishpoge" being nominated for an Edison Award. Mazzeltov has performed hundreds of concerts in the Netherlands, even playing in venues such as the Royal Concerthall in Amsterdam. The band has also played abroad. Reviews
