In 2015, I walked by an available space in the exciting ‘De Pijp’ neighbourhood in Amsterdam and imagined a pizza shop with my favourite name Mastino on the front. Why Mastino? In Italian, if you are a Mastino you are a go-getter, not to mention that it was my Nono Giovanni’s nickname back in Sicily. I felt it was the time for a new type of Pizza: plant-based, healthy, fresh, colourful, and tasty with a large variety of vegan cheese. It is important to me to cater to the growing vegan and plant-based community and all who love pizza made with passion and love. It still makes me feel proud to think we were the first all-vegan, plant-based Pizza to Go place in The Netherlands. Our Pizza Our pizza dough is a hybrid – somewhere between a Napolitana and a Romana. We source the freshest ingredients, always letting our vegetables shine. We want our pizza to cater for all tastes, highlighting that pizza does not need to have meat or dairy to be amazing.

Our Cheeses Creating innovative and tasty vegan cheese for our pizzas is a very important part of what we do and we have teamed up with some of the best vegan cheese producers in Amsterdam.

Our Deli We have teamed up with ‘Vegaliano’ to bring the best Italian vegan products to you. Why not take some home while ordering your pizza, or swing by to get the latest goodies?

Our People At Mastino we care about people. We are a group of passionate pizza lovers, motivated to create new tasty experiences in a friendly and authentic Italian way.
