Marc Koehler Associates are in the business of bringing people together. We build for new resilient ways to live in the context of the polycrisis and our colapsing (eco)system.

To do this, MKA takes a research-by-design approach to the future of sustainable communal living.

We practice a cross-disciplinary approach. Our team exists as a flexible tribe of (brand) strategists, real estate pioneers, architectural and landscape designers, ecologists, building engineers and sustainability consultants. We come together to build beautiful resilient habitats around the world.

MKA are the minds behind the platforms FLORAM Village, Nomalides, Mama Pioneers, Superlofts & Openbuilding.co

Superlofts is a customisable co-living and development model based on modular and Open Building systems. Superlofts offers its members the freedom to customise or design their homes from scratch incorporating any hybrid function and co-create shared spaces to build a global co-living community. Superwood is its modular biobased prefab building system.

MaMa Pioneers is a social impact real estate developer pioneering a modular shared living model with measurable social and environmental impact. Founded by Andy Kloppenburg, Renz Millenaar, Edwin Oostmeijer and Marc Koehler in response to the housing and climate crisis, MaMa Pioneers radically improves the way sustainable residential projects are conceived, developed, built and operated.

The company integrates branding, design, con-tech and smart operating platforms into one scalable development framework for innovative co-housing and co-living concepts. Rooted in Amsterdam and expanding (inter)nationally, MaMa Pioneers designs, builds, owns and operates a growing network of climate-positive buildings that function as neighbourhood catalysts. Each project combines modular and prefabricated construction systems with contextual architectural design, shared facilities and integrated on- and offline community services.
