Machbouaa is focused on cosmopolitan community building and engagement to enable social innovators and purpose driven entrepreneurs to create change.

Cosmopolitanism is the idea that all human beings belong to a single community while maintaining their diversity. The concept of cosmopolitanism is framed as an alternative way of identifying oneself. It is said that it existed at least since the fourth century BC. Contemporary philosophers such as Appiah wrote that cosmopolitanism was introduced by the Cynics. For them being a cosmopolitan meant to be a “citizen of the cosmos”. You owed loyalty to the city you lived in but you belonged to the cosmos (Appiah, 2010 p.11).
