Over Lunburg

Lunburg is a Dutch-Moroccan maison of functional art in leather. The atelier sits in Fes. The commercial entity sits in the Netherlands. Every piece is engineered to last generations, improve with use, and record the biography of its custodian.

Lunburg works in two registers: direct commissions for patrons, and haute-maroquinerie services for haute horlogerie maisons, heritage leather goods houses, and the bespoke-interior programs of superyachts and branded residences.

The work is anchored in rempliage: the most demanding edge-finishing technique in leather craft. It takes 15 years or more to master, only a handful of ateliers in the world can execute it, and it produces pieces that improve with every year of use rather than decay.

Morocco delivers two advantages at once: a 1,200-year Fassi craft tradition that still grounds the practice of rempliage, and zero-duty access to both the EU and US markets for leather goods via the EU-Morocco Association Agreement and the US-Morocco Free Trade Agreement. Tanger Med sits 3 days from Rotterdam, on a supply corridor independent of Suez Canal and Red Sea exposure.

Lunburg directs 40% of its profits to the Artisan Fund, built into the maison's financial structure as a standing commitment to the continuity of rempliage and the broader Fassi craft tradition.
