Over Local Inclusive Future Energy LIFE City Platform

LIFE is a collaboration between private, public & community stakeholders like Gemeente Amsterdam, the AMS Institute and Johan Cruyff Arena. LIFE is also a research project running over 4 years and funded by RVO. We are working to develop a smart-grid platform in Amsterdam Zuidoost that especially includes local residents in project development. The AMS Institute will facilitate this side of the stakeholder management & community engagement. We strive to integrate the interests and ideas of all stakeholders in the execution and results, in order to not only get useful results during the project but also to get a supported solution for Zuidoost after the project ends. The result: an electricity grid-friendly and community inclusive innovation to alleviate grid congestion problems and contribute towards Amsterdam's Energy Transition.
