Over Lipia

At Lipia B.V., we’re addressing critical issues in the agricultural supply chain by creating transparent, sustainable, and fair compensation for farmers across Africa. Our mission is to bridge the gap between farmers, retailers, and consumers, creating direct, trust-driven connections that benefit all stakeholders involved.

Sourcing agricultural produce from Africa—such as coffee, avocados, and citrus—presents challenges due to fragmented supply chains, inadequate infrastructure, inconsistent quality, and a lack of transparent and ethical practices. Retailers face obstacles in maintaining quality and sustainability, while farmers struggle with limited market access, opaque pricing, and unpredictable income.

To solve these issues, Lipia leverages technology to create a traceable, transparent agricultural supply chain. Through our platform, farmers receive fair compensation and valuable data insights, while buyers gain transparency and engage consumers through stories about product origins and ethical sourcing practices. By simplifying and shortening the path from farm to shelf, Lipia ensures consumers can make informed purchasing choices, supporting ethical sourcing and sustainable farming practices.

We envision a world where every farmer is fairly compensated, consumers trust the origins of their food, and the environmental impact of production is minimised. By adhering to international standards, implementing traceable transactions, and supporting sustainable practices, Lipia is transforming the agricultural industry to be more ethical and environmentally responsible.

Currently, we’re building our platform to include key features like cashless payments, digital product passports, and compliance tracking to meet international regulations. Through partnerships and investment, Lipia is advancing the way agricultural products reach global markets, bringing African produce to the world with integrity and transparency. Join us as we reshape the future.
