Over LGBT Maastricht

LGBT Maastricht is a foundation for the LGBTQI+ youth in Maastricht and it’s surroundings. It became the fastest growing LGBTQI+ association for students in the Netherlands with over 500 members in the first year. The weekly informal/social events on Tuesday evening were visited by 80-150 LGBTQI+ and straight allies a week. Next to the weekly social gatherings also other events were created as for example; movie screenings, weekend getaways, picnics and trips to amusement parks. Besides organizing events LGBT Maastricht but also aimed for more structural social changes in the city of Maastricht. This was conducted with other student associations, political parties, Maastricht University and the municipality of Maastricht.
