Over KNCV Sectie Computationele AND Theoretische Chemie

CTC is engaged in the promotion of knowledge of Computational and Theoretical Chemistry in a broad sense and the promotion of the professional and general interests of Computational and Theoretical Chemists in the Netherlands. “Our scope extends from theoreticians in quantum theory and simulation to experimentalists with an interest in theory and model computations. This includes method and software development, the development a theoretical framework and models of chemical phenomena as well as relevant developments in informatics. While our core is clearly in chemistry, we wish to be inclusive towards all interested in adjacent natural sciences, such as, physics and biology,” says Matthias Bickelhaupt, chair of the section CTC.

The section CTC pursues its objectives through the organization of meetings, symposia, setting up task forces, maintaining contacts with like-minded groups in the Netherlands and abroad and awarding a prize.
