Over KanStudy

KanStudy was established in early 2017 when Abdulla Al-Basha –at that time studying his Masters in Entrepreneurship at Maastricht University- got in contact with his friend from home university Hasan Elayan. Hasan had already obtained his Masters degree from the UK and has been highly active in students’ services. He even founded the first Arab students association in University of Sunderland. Abdulla and Hasan founded KanStudy when they tried to fill in a market gap that they recognized. The gap is represented by the absence of promotions of Dutch universities in Jordan and other non-petrolic Middle Eastern countries from one side, and the lack of awareness in this region about the high quality education in Netherlands that is also offered in English language. Having lived in Jordan and studied in Europe, both cofounders got aware of the huge differences between both worlds. This awareness had grown to be a frustration that they are keen on doing something about it. By sending students from the Middle East to study in Netherlands and help them integrate in the Dutch culture, KanStudy gave the cofounders the opportunity to bridge the gap between both worlds and do well by doing good. KanStudy is a for profit company that seek to have a strong social impact. We at KanStudy do not only help students find their most suitable study program in the Netherlands, but also make sure to be there for them if they needed help or guidance while in Netherlands. Our mission isn’t merely sending student to study abroad, but make sure we are closing the cultural gap between Europe and the Middle East with each student that studies through us.
