📌Professionals committed to urgent change, so that youth care is safe and individually tailored – in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

🅹🆅🅱 🅴🆇🅸🆂🆃 🅱🅴🅲🅰🆄🆂🅴:

75% of children and young people in residential youth care experience some form of abuse or violence and/or witness it. This has not stopped since 2019 – despite the findings of the De Winter report.

The De Winter Commission conducted years of research into violence in youth care and, in June 2019, published a shocking report entitled: “Insufficiently Protected: Violence in Dutch Youth Care from 1945 to the Present.”

JVB opposes all forms of children’s rights violations facilitated by the Dutch government, in the Netherlands and beyond.
