'I am an artist specialized in bronze sculptures with subjects as horses, bulls, predatory beasts and human figures. For more than 35 years I have been working independently to create and sell my works of art world-wide. My company Jos Dirix Sculptures stands for expressive beauty in bronze. Jos Dirix puts his passion into his projects. He and his wife Wilma van Duuren have been living and working together on a farm of the 1850s for over 25 years. She is an artist too and creates ceramic sculptures and paintings. They are a vital inspiration to each other. Jos and Wilma cherish their Icelandic horses on their farm. That visibly interacts with the creation of his bronze sculptures. His muscular horses are strong, but elegant. His bulls ooze primal power. His predatory beast always seem to search for prey. His dancing humans show dramatic movement. Jos Dirix bronzes are full of life, vitality and dynamics! Recently his work was shown in the Swedish Art Galleries ‘Minerva’ in Malmö and ‘New Form’ in Trelleborg, as well as in the 'Timeless Gallery' in Marbella, Spain. Twice a year Jos and his wife Wilma organize a reception in their private home, ateliers and gardens. A cozy encounter where art lovers can meet with the artistic couple and enjoy their work in a warm and hospitable environment. Every year Jos Dirix donates a bronze sculpture to be auctioned by the Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities to fund their work in the Ronald McDonald Houses. Jos Dirix Sculptures has supported them since 1993. Jos works on different scales: small works for inside the home, bigger ones for outdoors and huge statues that stand out as landmarks in open spaces like squares and roundabouts or to perk up parks all over the world.
