On the waterfront of the river the Merwede, our shipyard J. Schlieker & Zonen BV is located. We have two locations. Our first location was founded in 1868 – the oldest (family) company of the village and is located in Sliedrecht. In 2012 we expanded our company by buying a shipyard in Dordrecht. J. Schlieker & Zonen BV has now built over 1050 vessels since the shipyard was founded. Through the years Schlieker has become a reliable partner in the shipbuilding industry.
