IrisBG's story began in 1996 when Øyvind Rustan (Compositae AS) developed the first version of our software in close collaboration with the Botanical Garden, University of Oslo in Norway.

Verify taxon names with trusted scientific sources and store images, video, and audio files. We also offer data sharing and integration support with other initiatives and software, such as ArcGIS, Darwin Core, and BGCI data tools.
