Intercultural Business Improvement is the go-to training and consulting company for cross-border and cultural diversity programs. Our company was founded by Oscar van Weerdenburg and Ursula Brinkmann, PhD, and we have a team of dedicated professionals who help organizations get the most out of their diversity. We have a global network of over 200 intercultural experts who help us deliver expatriate and team-building sessions, both online and in person. Our learning interventions are grounded in research on cultural differences, intercultural competence development, and effective diversity training. We have successfully delivered over 500 programs for international staff, both incoming and outgoing. We have also coached numerous culturally diverse teams, helping them turn their diversity into a strength rather than a source of conflict. Our expertise includes leadership coaching, cultural role-playing with bi-cultural actors, cross-cultural problem-solving, dilemma resolution, and multi-party negotiation training. Based in the Netherlands, we are highly familiar with Dutch business culture. We've supported countless companies, teams, and international staff in navigating the nuances of working with Dutch clients, colleagues, and suppliers. We developed the Intercultural Readiness Check, the leading intercultural assessment tool that measures four essential intercultural competencies. This tool has been used by over 700 certified professionals and has helped more than 90,000 individuals and organizations enhance their intercultural effectiveness. In 2014, we published Intercultural Readiness: Four competences for working across cultures (Palgrave), which outlines our approach to intercultural competence development and places the IRC competences within broader research on intercultural effectiveness.
