The Comprehensive Cancer Centres (CCC) are regional oncological network organizations, whose aim is to ensure that the best possible care is available to cancer patients all over the Netherlands. However, they are not directly involved in the provision of care. What the CCC do is to promote optimal care provision, through activities such as the following: Provision of consultancy services on medical, nursing and psychosocial matters relating to oncology and palliative care.
