About Jan Willem Frederiks I studied applied mechanics at the University of Twente. During my thesis I developed a finite element to compute sound transmission through multi-layer panels like double or triple glass windows. This led to a clear understanding of the world of FEA and the software around these problems. Before my academic adventure I had already spent years of programming in Turbo Pascal because I love the combination of engineering and software. I worked for Nedcon as a structural engineer for approximately 10 years and 15 years in technical management, but always close to structural engineering. After working for 25 years for one organization, I felt change was necessary. I enjoyed a short sabbatical and I started Ingenieursbureau Connection. I am looking forward to connect with you.
