Idd offers young talent from in and around Amsterdam a place, the time and the means to showcase their talent. The festival offers different areas for participants to apply: dance, theatre, music, comedy, visual arts and spoken word. The participants apply online and after different forms of auditions the final participants are selected. These participants will fill the largest part of the festival programme. In each area a luminary is chosen who shows the most promise for the future. There are different appreciation packages attached to each category given to the luminary of that area. The packages exist as stepping stones that will help the young talent to improve their career.

Another part of the festival programme consists of guest performances. The guest artists of this year will be exposed to you in the near future. By combining the raw talent with experienced artists, we try create a diverse programme, which will attract a diverse public. Next to the music programme, there will a different range of activities such as theatre and visual arts.
