Over Holland Care 荷护

Holland Care (荷护'He Hu'​ in Chinese) aims to introduce 'Dutch style'​ special care and education for special needs children to China.

Our primary aim is to support parents through online information and skill-share and offline capacity building. By assisting and advising parents, we hope to contribute to better care for children. Holland Care was initiated in 2015 by two mothers with handicapped children, one from China and one from the Netherlands.

• Coach and support parents of special needs children, through our WeChat community, individual WeChat coaching, monthly webinars and face-to-face meetings; • Organize masterclasses and advise parents and professionals on the use of effective educational tools and toys for special needs children; • Build up a network of specialists in China and the Netherlands.

Holland Care aims for happy children and balanced families by: • Focusing on the potential of special needs children • Promoting social inclusion and a positive image • Guiding parents by learning to observe and structuring daily routines • Training professionals to stimulate children with customized pace and means • Sharing reliable information on the basis of research and best practices
