Over HF20

HF20 stands for ‘human factors to offshore’. Most people’s perspectives on offshore operations point towards process automation and advanced technology, equipment and materials in order to optimize operations and process safety. HF20 takes upon a different perspective; the human factors perspective. We emphasize upon the operator involved in offshore operations. As 80% of all accidents during marine and offshore activities are caused by human influences and in up to 23% of collisions and groundings fatigue was a causal factor. We believe the assessment of human factors is paramount the risk reduction, process safety and optimization in offshore operations.
