Turkey meets Amsterdam Hammam Thirty-Four was founded in 2012 by Burcu Yurtoglu Dalar, who was born in Turkey. As a curious child in Istanbul, she was surrounded by beautiful, antique handmade textiles that were passed down from generation to generation. After an international career in global marketing and brand management at various multinational companies, she moved to Amsterdam with her family. Amidst the liveliness of the city, she felt the desire to stay connected with nature on a daily basis. Inspired by this, she decided to pursue her dream of creating a sustainable and authentic home design brand rooted in the Turkish hammam tradition and the textiles from the Anatolia region where she grew up.

Slowing down and relaxing The authentic and small-scale Hammam34 embraces a thoughtful approach to consumption and a less is more mentality. The brand believes in having a few high-quality products rather than a multitude of items that end up in the trash after a few uses. They offer seasonless and sizeless home essentials, including loungewear, home textiles, and bath textiles made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton that lasts for years. Most towels are handwoven in traditional workshops in Turkey using centuries-old techniques. The brand also collaborates with artists from around the world for their limited editions. The home essentials from Hammam Thirty-Four are intended to evoke a Mediterranean way of life—a sense of slowing down, relaxing, and taking time to turn inward and care for oneself.
