Industrial process heat above 175°C is one of the largest and least-addressed sources of carbon emissions in European manufacturing. Most decarbonisation options can’t reach the required temperatures, are grid dependent, or demand too much capital.

GreenCarbonFactory was founded to close that gap. The company develops, owns, and operates compact behind-the-meter pyrolysis plants at industrial sites, converting certified local organic residues into green process heat delivered under long-term, CPI-indexed offtake contracts. The model is designed around a single principle: for the industrial customer, switching from fossil gas to green heat should be as simple as changing energy supplier.

GreenCarbonFactory handles everything: financing, engineering, procurement, construction, permitting, feedstock sourcing, operations, and maintenance. The customer provides a 30x30m plot, signs a 10+ year contract, and pays a predictable monthly amount. No capex. No maintenance costs. No technical or regulatory burden.

Each plant processes 20kt dry certified organic residues per year, delivering up to 4.5 MWth green process heat and producing high-quality biochar certified to European Biochar Certificate standards. The biochar serves as a durable carbon sink, generating certified biochar carbon removal credits that enable competitive heat pricing against the fossil baseline.

The company is led by co-founders with complementary backgrounds: both MSc mechanical engineering from Delft University of Technology but with one has successfully founded patent-to-multi-site bioLNG business Nordsol and the other holds two decades of investment banking experience including as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. This combination of engineering depth, cleantech founder grit and financial structuring capability is reflected in every aspect of the business, from P&ID design to SPV structuring and lender-ready documentation.
