G3 Consultancy provides pre-implementation process intelligence for mid-sized engineering and manufacturing businesses. Most organisations build technology on documented processes. The problem is that documented processes are usually a description of intended work, not actual work. The workarounds, exceptions, tribal knowledge, and shadow systems that keep operations running rarely make it into the procedures. When ERP, PLM, or AI systems are built on this foundation, they inherit the fiction. G3 works upstream of that point. Using a methodology adapted from HAZOP — originally developed for safety-critical engineering — G3 maps the gap between documented processes and operational reality before implementation begins. The output is not a consulting report. It is a permanent, hosted operational knowledge base built in XSOL InOrder and deployed as a navigable HTML site, accessible to everyone in the organisation from any browser. No software required. Navigable by process or by role. Clickable from strategic overview down to individual work instructions. Connected to documents, systems, and training resources. Maintained as operations evolve. The organisations G3 works with are typically three to nine months from a major ERP, PLM, or AI implementation. The knowledge base remains useful long after go-live: for onboarding, compliance, knowledge retention, and providing accurate context for any automation that follows.
