Over Foundation FONDEMA

Foundation FONDEMA is an apolitical and non-religious organisation based in The Hague, Netherlands, working towards a renewed dialogue between Europe and the southern Mediterranean shore and Africa. Our mission is to advance understanding between North and South by developing cultural initiatives, fostering international cooperation, and promoting and managing shared programmes together with European, Middle-Eastern and African partners. We wish to promote respect for human rights across national frontiers, especially in terms of protection of minorities and man-woman equality. Our mission is realised through the following activities: • Promotion of conferences, debates, seminars and workshops • Organisation of international cultural and artistic programmes (e.g. exhibitions, performances) • Commercial networking and facilitation of sustainable trade and joint initiatives within the creative industries (e.g. design, publishing, film) FONDEMA is a member of the Anna Lindh Foundation Network and possesses the official Dutch ANBI certification that recognises its status as a charitable organisation.
