According to creator and founder Ernst Daniel Nijboer, it is like a knife that cuts both ways. "First, Fair Fruit responds to the growing consumer demand for sustainable food products. Secondly, it's an effective tool to halt massive deforestation and killing the Amazons' biodiversity, as well as protecting its endangered local indigenous communities".

In collaboration with local communities and international organizations fighting against the ecocide of the Amazon, the campaign focuses on Dutch consumers, retailers and supermarket chains, thereby simultaneously establishing their sustainable footprint when purchasing or using pure Amazon fruit in their food products.

Fair Fruit 2.0 campaign stands for an honest story. Biological fruit purchased directly from small forest plantations at a guaranteed price for the local farmer, and exported as certified fruit powder, provided with a QR scan code to trace origin, fruit type, nutrition value, Best Before, and new fruit trees.
